Undergraduate Program

Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) organized by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) in the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) by getting enough points among the successful candidates, Foreign National Student (YÖS) Examination among the successful candidates and vertical transfer, intra-institutional transfer, inter-institutional transfer, horizontal transfer with central placement score within the scope of our department's I. education program student admission is carried out. As a result of ÖSYM exams, an average of 30 students are admitted to the first education program of our department annually. In addition, students from other universities with protocol agreements are accepted to study in our department within the scope of Farabi / Mevlana / Erasmus program, limited to temporary student status and for certain periods of time.
Turkish Language and Literature Department Undergraduate Program I. (daytime) education program is carried out.
The regular education period of the undergraduate program of the department is eight semesters and the maximum duration is fourteen semesters.
The language of instruction of the undergraduate program of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature is 100% Turkish. Students who are newly enrolled in our department, which does not have compulsory or optional foreign language preparatory class education, start the education process as 1st semester students.
Within the scope of the Farabi / Mevlana / Erasmus program, our students who meet the sufficient conditions can study at domestic and foreign universities with protocol agreements for certain periods of time.
In order to be eligible for program graduation, certain obligations must be met. These obligations are fulfilled by having a minimum of 30 ECTS of compulsory / elective courses taken and successfully completed in each semester of the education plan (*The total ECTS value of the courses in the 1st semester is 32 in the education plans with Career Planning course), reaching 240/242 ECTS in the total of eight semesters, no failure / absenteeism / inadequacy grade, and a cumulative grade point average of 2.00 or above.
Students who graduate from the first education program of our department are entitled to receive a diploma of “Department of Turkish Language and Literature Undergraduate Program”. Students who complete the courses required for graduation and fulfill the graduation requirements can graduate in a shorter time. No title is given to the student who is entitled to graduate.
Students enrolled in 2019 and subsequent years continue their education and training processes in accordance with the “The Curriculum of Turkish Language and Literature Department compitable with 2019 Bologna ECTS”. The maximum rate that students subject to this curriculum can take during the course registration process is determined as the ECTS of the course, and their grade point averages (YANO* - GANO**) are calculated based on the ECTS rate of the course.
